Today, we'll discuss why you should have an agent represent you when purchasing new construction. To me, there are three clear benefits of working with an agent.
First of all, when you sign the sales card with a building company, that binds you to work with the builder's sales agent. That agent is not just working for you; they are also working for the building company. Before you sign that sales card, speak with a real estate agent. A real estate agent will look out for your best interests, rather than the company's best interests.
Secondly, working with an agent will save you time. There are a lot of new construction agencies out there. We can point you in the right direction so that you don't have to waste your time looking at companies that are out of budget or don't suit your needs.
Finally, we get a lot of sales incentives from builders. Builders want us to bring people in to look at their communities. If you work with us first, and we register with that builder, the sales incentives would give you credits towards things like closing costs or upgrades.
As you can see, working with a real estate agent will help smooth the new construction buying process. If you have any questions, give us a call or send me an email. We'd be happy to help you!
